Official Waiting Room

Given that last year’s decisions were sent out on March 16th (that is, received), I think we have about 3 more days to wait. Who applied to Brandeis!

Moi! I guess we have Brandeis in common as well :)

I am! And not to be a creeper or anything, but judging by the boards I think I’m applying to a ton of the same schools as you two!

Wait, the website says April 1st?

sometimes colleges get done a little early. i think the april 1st date is like, the absolute latest they’ll mail decisions.

I’m waiting, too. I’m incredibly nervous.

Ahh, I hope it comes this week :)

omgg they are taking foreverrrrr, it better come MONDAY or TUESDAY

does the financial aid usually come in the package? or do i have to wait a while for it

I would say most colleges, apart from the Ivies, release their decisions before April 1st. (And yes, this tend to be the lastest day that the school notifies their decisions) Why did you guys choose to apply to Brandeis?

Brandeis sends your financial aid package along with the acceptance.

Admitted Students Day is a few days later this year than last year, so the decisions may, accordingly, be mailed later :frowning: Not sure how that works.

Good luck to all of you, hope to see you next year (and I’ll be creeping around the board to answer questions  ).

@sstGO27, how did it feel, in terms of weather, to move from FL to Brandeis?

Before Florida I lived in New York, Connecticut, and Minnesota, so the Massachusetts weather wasn’t too surprising. Generally, the people I know who are native Floridians and Californians start wearing their winter coats in October, get really excited when it snows, but then adapt pretty quickly. Make sure you bring lots of warm clothing though!

The worst part about the weather, in my opinion, is that when it rains the campus gets REALLY puddle-y. Bring boots, seriously.

oh God, I hate this waiting. And my school ends on April 1 and after a spring break, we are having mock exams and then the finals. If I jut get in, everything would be sooo much easier :D

Will international students be notified via e-mail?

I hope it comes through an email as well!
Otherwise, it’ll be 5-10 days before I receive it if they don’t use FedEx. :-(

I once called to ask for decision date and the admissions rep said letters would be mailed on March 17.

@MED VIRID. March 16th was last year, so there’s certainly a possibility that the decision date for this year may change. For international students, I sent them an email about that inquiry, I’ll post their reply as soon as I get one. 2~3 MORE DAYS.

Jamie// Excuse me, but I just said “March 17”, not 16th. Will look forward to the reply. However I assume they will most probably either tell you letters will be mailed by April 1 or not respond at all…

Doesn’t it come online at all?

dancer1502 they’re still trying to answer that question for international students, but if you’re in the US then it will only come by mail

@MED VIRID: yeah i know you said March 16th. What i meant was there’s a possibility that decision dates may change (I guess I wasn’t clear).
