Official Waitlisted Thread

Pretty self-explanatory...any thoughts fellow waitlistees?

How many people are waitlisted?

First UChicago, now Duke. I can’t wait till April 1.

Waitlisted at Northwestern, then Stanford, then Duke…

I was waitlisted, but I’m not going to stay on.

Jesus Christ. Waitlisted at UChicago, WashU, and now Duke. I’m sick of this honestly. April 1st better be my savior
How many people are put on Duke’s waitlist?

This is my first waitlist. They SAY it’s better than a rejection, but… I’m not sure. This doesn’t make my chances for Ivies look very bright :frowning: I got into Georgetown Early Action, though… it’s all very hit-or-miss.

First UChicago, then Duke…■■■

Three WL in a row. All the schools I care about. I am so absolutely sick of this. Can’t they at least give me an actual answer, yes or no, rather than maybe???

All these schools waitlist so many people and hardly take any off. Why do they do that? It just seems ridiculous to give that false hope

PandoraHearts, I’m in the same exact boat as you. 3 in a row. It is sickening. I got into Gtown EA, and that’s all that’s keeping my hopes up.

i got waitlisted too! i hate my life

You guys say you would want a sure decision, either rejection or acceptance. But getting rejected is HORRIBLE… I’d much rather take a waitlist. Although it is false hope, it means you’re worth reconsidering, not tossing.

Haha I got waitlisted… makes my fourth waitlist (pomona, vanderbilt, and ?pitzer? lol) of the day. I’m just honored to not get rejected by some of these awesome schools! =)

me too. :(

Waitlisted sucks. Just got deferred then rejected from Stanford, and waitlisted at Emory (lolwut). But on a brighter note, I’ve gotten in to Vandy, WashU, and Northwestern, and gotten a likely from Columbia, which I would have picked over Duke (most likely) anyway. Maybe I should have done the optional essay.

this sucks… now i have to actually study to maintain a high GPA…

Waitlisted at Duke and WashU. Rejected at Stanford. Didn’t expect to get into any of the three, so to be waitlisted at two feels like an honor. Vandy was my top choice, anyways, and their financial aid package is hard to beat!

how many people did they waitlist?

Waitlisted. Just wondering, if I choose to be put onto the wait list, then it is not required that I go if I do miraculously get selected from the list right? Assume by the time I get the notice I already fell in love with another school, then would they select the next person from the list? Thanks!

How exactly does the waitlist work? Is it ordered (e.g. Johnny is 1st on the waitlist, and Sarah is 2nd on the waitlist, etc.)? Or will everyone on the waitlist be reevaluated later?

Hey, did any internationals needing aid get waitlisted? (I got) If so, please come here

I am with you guys. Limbo for another 3 days. Damn.
Damn
Damn

The 1st will hopefully be my saviour
