yeah… I hope for your sake it was legit hahah…

hah thaaanks I mean if it worked for people from my school in the past I guess it is? Since EA isn’t binding it should be fine-- if I get into W&L I just turn down the EA schools.

I’m so excited. And nervous. It’s so strange just waiting…

I know… very strange…
So i made a thread earlier about how you would react to getting an acceptance letter… let me edit this with the questions i used over there…
EDIT:
How are you going to react to opening your letter if you get accepted? Who are you going to call first? Will you go out to celebrate? I know if I get accepted ED I to my top choice, it will be a very merry christmas. I think I am going to open my letter alone and then come down and tell my parents serene faced whether or not I got in. Hopefully I won’t shed a tear either way hahaha. What do you guys think?

Yeah, my parents are definitely not going to let me open my letter in a different room. I had to apply/audition for the school that I go to now, so it’ll probably be something like getting that letter. A couple of my best friends are doing ED to other schools, so I’d call them first. My dad went to W&L and since we don’t know yet if I’m in or not, he’s tried to not talk about it much because he doesn’t want to get my hopes up or anything. So if I get in, I’m pretty sure my life will be full of nonstop “well back when I was there…” and “you’re going to love it blah blah blah”

hahaha yeah I have never really had an acceptance letter before because I have been going to my school since kindergarten… so this will be an interesting experience to say the least

Yeah, last time I got an acceptance letter I was eleven… so this is probably going to be fairly new to me too…

ah, i see. anything else to talk about?

hahah idk?

wanna take a look at other college’s 2014 ED threads and see what they are discussing? I’ll look later and see haha

I also applied ED to W&L. I finished my application on October 1st, so I’ve been sitting around and waiting for a while haha! Good luck guys!

wow thats a while… good luck to you!

aswagga and I already traded a couple details with eachother in another thread, but nehooper14, tell us a little about yourself… male/female? where are you from? athlete?

Aww yay another ED applicant! Good luck nehooper14!

Oh yea sure.

I’m a guy from the Boston area. I’m also an athlete, getting recruited by the wrestling team. My class rank is somewhere in the top 20 out of 365, and I got a 2200 on the SAT (750M, 700R, 750W).

I don’t know what else you guys want to know about me. My name’s Nate, by the way.

How about you?

well I’m from NJ obviously… looking to playing soccer at W&L. 31 ACT, I also play baseball, and I like to write

That’s cool. Have you met with the coaches or done an official visit or anything like that?

Yeah, I met with the coach but he said theres not much he can do since he already has a bunch of goalkeepers… how heavily are you being recruited?

well the coaches want me because I’m at an uncommonly light weight class (125), so they’ve sent my profile to the admissions office and done what they can to increase my chances

Wow Nate, that’s awesome. Good luck!
I’m Allison. I’m from Alabama. I don’t play any sports because I go to an arts school where we don’t have sports? I’m in my school’s creative writing department. 29 ACT, which isn’t that great but whatever.

Do you guys know what you want to study?

thats great nate… hah, but really with your scores I’m sure you will have a great shot regardless. Don’t worry aswagga, I’m sure the 29 wont hurt you either. I think I want to study english, but definitely creative writing in some form or another.
