[] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I think my application was pretty solid overall. In the end, I think my extracurricular activities clearly communicated my passion for politics and helped my application stand out. Regardless, I am very thankful for this result.
[li] Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Rejected at Stanford ED[/li][/ul]General Comments: In a way, I felt I needed this acceptance, especially after getting rejected at Stanford ED. Though I’m unsure if I’ll end up attending Washington University in St. Louis (I’ll have to wait to hear back from other schools I applied to before coming up with a final decision), I think it is a wonderful school and, if I am accepted at other of my top-choice colleges, it will be an extremely difficult choice when deciding between them and WUSTL.

For those of you who were accepted, I am sure you all truly deserve it. I look forward to the possibility of joining you all next year in college. I cannot wait for the futures ahead of us!

For those of you who were rejected or wait listed, after getting rejected from Stanford ED, I know your pain. I know it might be stinging. However, looking through this thread, I am humbled by how many people got rejected who have just as good (if not better) of stats than I do and could have easily, if not for a bit of bad luck, been accepted instead of me. Though I am positive that you could have prospered at WUSTL, keep your heads up, because you can and will prosper wherever you end up. Remember, college is not success in itself – it is nothing but a road to success. So don’t let any admissions decision define you or your self worth, and instead just keep forging ahead and making the world a better place.

Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Accepted University of Virginia; likely letter William & Mary; deferred Georgetown ED; have not heard form Brown, Duke, American, Vanderbilt, and Davidson
General Comments: Really excited!!! I think WUSTL has one of five best pre-med programs in US and that is my interest. Also though I recognize that the whole process is a bit of a “crap” shoot and wish the best of luck to all who were wait listed and/or rejected. I know how bummed out I was after GU (where both my parents went undergrad) deferred me. Sometimes the process is mysterious and no decision reflects on who you are.
