What are my chances of getting in if i’m deferred?

Same as RD.

Wait so is it that we get decision by the 15th or they mail it on the 15th? If its that we get the decision by the 15th, it will probably come out tomorrow at 5pm im guessing?

3.8 gpa 32 ACT

do i have any chance at all?

Can’t say from just your GPA and ACT, but if you are strong in other areas, you should have a reasonable shot

I cant wait any longer. Dartmouth and columbia released decisions today.

I’m assuming any news on the WUSTL Pathway will just show up in our inbox? Also, do they notify you by email when the decisions are posted or do you just need to keep checking? (not that I haven’t been checking…20 times an hour…)

They eventually send you an email saying the decisions are up, but it’s usually not until a day or two later. The first way you’ll find out is by checking the Pathway yourself. A link should appear saying “Decision Notification,” or something along those lines.

Historically, the site tends to break shortly before decisions are released. Maybe the page won’t load, or it might display some long, incoherent lines of code across the screen. If you log into the Pathway and find something like that, there’s a good chance they’re transferring all of the information and decisions will be up by the end of the day, if not in the next hour or so.

OH MY GOSH I truly can’t contain my excitement/nervousness/sense of impending doom

Seriously. I cannot wait any longer. This has been the longest week of my life and the only thing that got me through it is the hope that decisions will be released tomorrow. If they’re not, I’m going to bed for the rest of next week. This waiting is terrible. I have nightmares about being deferred.

I had a dream last night that I got in and started crying and calling everyone and freaking out and being super happy,
and then I woke up and realized…crap…I’ll probably get rejected…

Let’s try and stay positive

I’ve been wanting this for so many years now and talking about it so much that my family thinks I may have a mental breakdown if i’m rejected. I don’t think i’d cry or become depressed, but they are going to make it so difficult to just put it behind me and move on. I love the anonymity of this site.

hahaha ok, ok :)

yea. I’ve been emailing the admissions rep for quite some time now and even attended discovery weekend this year. I really hope all that wasn’t for nothing. god… I love washu

Just a point about WashU Admissions putting out on our about Dec 15th. They did that the last two years and then posted decisions on Pathway on Dec 8th (last year) and Dec 9th (the year before). Last year one poster called Admissions at 4:30 PM CT and was told by Admission person they didn’t know when decisions would be posted - the posted less than an hour after that. THEY AREN’T GOING TO TELL YOU!

I will be very surprised if the don’t post tomorrow night.

GL all.

Thanks. I really don’t think I can handle waiting for another week. I just need to know. Do you know how a C from your first quarter grades in Senior year would affect admissions? I know that it will most definitely have a negative effect but they look at the course load too right?

Also, I heard that this year it might be especially tough. Apparently last year, they had a record breaking freshman class and because of that, they might accept less people.

People with 5s on multiple AP tests, near perfect SAT and ACT scores and 4.0s have been rejected from Columbia and Dartmouth according to their CC threads.

I saw that too…and it seems that in all previous washu threads I have seen no rejections. Most people assumed that there were no rejections because people don’t want to stick around cc and post in big red letters “REJECTED”, yet it is apparant on the threads of many other schools that there are plenty of people that admit to being rejected (more so than accepted). I’m wondering if this could prove that washu’s ED acceptance rate might be abnormally high?
