if this were the real SAT, i wouldn't be able to live with this hanging over my head till december....argh...

Why does Bush keep putting down MA?

cuz kerry's from there

i wonder how bush and kerry fared against their psat's; did they have psats back then?

Writing

Last question

Which of the following concluding sentences, if added after sentence 15, would be most consistent with the passage?

A) Basically, this is one more indication that our society is in trouble
B) Apparently, technological progress alone cannot guarantee quality of life
C) Therefore, we are healthier today, but has greater happiness been achieved?
D) This is why the advantages of technology are insignificant compared to the drawbacks
E) As has been shown in the previous examples, the dangers of technology are very great.

I guessed between B and C.

i definitly put b.

yeah same, i put B

Definitely B. (C) while it did relate to the first point, it didn't sum up the paragraph about the home.

I also put choice B.

I think it is (C). B is close but the paragraph has to do with how the quality of life has improved, but the emotional aspects have generally stayed the same if not worsened.

Nice!! I think I guessed B

writing ; and ur guess was?

i'll tell you why i chose C: A), no sense of trouble, for the passage is basically delineating the improvements of technology, B) not enough evidence, or commentary on behalf of the writer, to support this clause, C), we are indeed healthier, as shown in the facts, and the happiness part does not necessarily have to connect back to the passage to work, its just dwelling on the idea of something else to leave the audience in conteplation, D) drawback were not outlined...at all, it was only implied that there was "concern" in the thesis of the passage, and E) dangers? what dangers?

yea, B) and C) yet again, although C) is stronger in my opinion

now i get it, damn

Was #19 on any of the math sections B? Or what was the answer man....for #19 I mean.

"alone cannot guarantee quality of life", no evidence for this, it didn't even go into this topic

questioning form of "greater happiness...achieved?", does not require evidence.

C!!! C C C C C C C C C C C C

i think #19 was D, the 64 one.

19 was the (a+8)(b-8) = 0 one

I got E: 128

jrcho88 if it's not too much trouble, can you please post some questions from the psych passage. After you post, we'll argue about them for awhile

B
it is not C because the whole thing is not about health
however, the whole thing does deal with the effect of technology on our lives.
B is broader and covers both the home thing and the medical aspect.

what was the answer to the revision of "Another place is the home"?
i put C... that technology also affects our lives at home... but it sounded not great
i dint seem to like any of the others

nvm i realized my mistake.. D
