Official Wellesley Class of 2014 Decisions Thread

phanatic; i found the form from another college and adapted it for myself. Two ways to search: statement of financial circumstances and statement of financial circumstances for financial aid, the latter gave a lot of colleges and you might find a form you can adapt. the first choice of searching actually showed forms used by companies and government. Some are very detailed. good luck

oops! is Chatham university now. I am not sure if it will continue as a woman’s college, I think undergrad still is. I don’t see that school mentioned here too much. I really liked it, too bad about the aid. We are super happy with Wellesley though, another reason that tilted the scales was the fact that you could have pets in some dorms, my D wanted her bunny with her during the consideration process.

so im still in a weird situation here. today i just got an email from NY Wellesley Club congratulating me on my admissions but I still have no notice from wellesley itself…

i emailed wellesley too about what is going on a while ago and no response

i hope the email wasnt a mistake LOL

Wow moonliteexpress I think you got in then,

I am international, and knew that I got in through the account but I am still waiting for my fin aid package. I am becoming very impatient and I am thinking about sending them email first, then calling them.
Is it possible that they could send me my fin aid package through email?

moonlitexpress, you most likely (~95% just in case of some random random mistake) were accepted. congrats! CALL admissions and ask.

thanks welles10, I already sent them email and i think the office closed as it must be 6 pm in Wellesley already, so I think I will call them tomorrow.

i think calling is definately the best option here. thanks! i hope to find out tomorrow if this is some horrible joke they are playing on me xD

ok, i think the email wasnt a mistake after all because a couple of hours ago i received another email (now from wellesley) about chatting with students and congratulated me again. LOL where in the world is that package??

hahaha you have definitely been admitted then. perhaps one of your neighbors received your acceptance letter on accident =P

yeah I got that email too, i also wonder where the package goes when 2 of my friends from the same school with me already received theirs.

Also, call admissions to see if they have the correct address for you in the database. You’ll be getting a lot of mail from the school (if you accept your place), so you’ll want to be sure it’s 100% correct!

OMG finally i got my package and I am def going to Wellesley :D

I really love the hand written note that goes with the package, so sweet.

gemyhuntsman, congrats! I’ll see you there then :)

Hey girls~ I’m applying next year and I was wondering about the interview questions. Those of you who had the interview: what were some of the questions like? thanks!!
oh and congrats to those who got in :] I hope I can join you girls next year~

Essays:I think this was the strongest element of my application. Atistic, lots of imagery, strong statements about why I love Welleseley. Then I ended my essay saying that on that Harry Potter monstrosity, I knew it was a perfect fit. My common app essay was strong also, and was a series of vignettes about my trip to Africa when I was four.

Counselor Rec: It was pretty standard, but she did say that I was mature :).
Interview: The interview blew me away, because it was so much fun! I didn’t prep bc I did soooo much college research, that I knew what I was going to say. I spoke from the heart, and iit was a great conversation! She was so excited and enthusiastic about Wellesley, that I became really excited as well. I already love the school, but I got all my questions answered and I can’t wait to meet her at the luncheon later on this month

I have just received a handwritten letter from an Assistant Director of Admissions. What does this mean? Did anyone else receive it?
It’s really sweet that Wellesley would do that and I am glad I am attending Wellesley this fall.
The letter basically says “congratulations on admission” “you have so much to offer to our community” and “best wishes”

I did too! It was along those lines and a great gesture on their part :)
