hey guys!

do you know when our acceptance results come out? is it same as last year's 12/11?

The decision day hasn’t been announced yet (as far as I know). The website just says mid-December.

Do you guys know how we get our decisions? Is it email, online, regular mail?

I think we get an email after a week of submission with instructions to create a portal account

Wellesley will post your early decision online on your MyWellesley portal. That is the quickest way to get your answer. Keep checking the portal, they will tell you the date and the hour when the decision will be posted on your portal. Last year, it was 5pm Eastern (2pm Pacific Standard). Afterwards, they will send you an official email notification of your decision. This is how it was done last year.

Oh, and then you will receive an official letter in the mail along with your financial aid package. But the portal will also show your financial aid with your admission decision. This is for ED applicants, but I think it will be the same for EE and RD applicants.

when teachers submit lor’s do they pick which schools to submit it too? can they see which schools you apply to? or do they just submit a lor and then naviance does the sorting?

You tell the teacher which schools you need a LOR for. I know some sent them directly when D was applying last year, while others gave them to the GC, who submitted them along with transcripts. This may not be the same everywhere. I think our high school is the only one left in America that physically mails the transcripts and LORs instead of just doing them online. I’m sure the Ad Coms just love this. ;)

Lool thanks massmomm!! Do we get the emails saying thxsforapplying sometime after the deadline?

I think my daughter got an email telling her how to log on to the MyWellesley portal, and then she just kept checking it to make sure all her stuff was in.

oh ok I got mines yesterday actually, thanks!

I sent in my application on Monday but I haven’t received any login information yet. How long does it take? :)

I sent mine in on the 2nd and received my login info on the 4th.

You can just go to my wellesley. There is a link for applicants, and you just need to put in the email address

But if your application has yet been processed, you will only receive your login info and cannot actually log in. The system will prompt you “Username/password combination not found”. Just wait until they send you the email - then you can actually log in to the system and check your application status.

politicalgirl- I sent mine in on Monday and just got the email today saying that they’ll have an account ready for me by the end of the week.

tenth2014- I’m pretty sure they send an electronic notice (email?) to you… I think their website says that the reply date is Dec. 15th. Mark it down on your calendars! :)

Anybody anxious for the results?

@Cantabile7 - As far as I can see, no specific reply date is recorded anywhere on the website.

we only have to send in our mid year and full transcript right?

Your counselor should have submitted your full transcript (9-11th) along with a letter of recommendation, and a school profile report. They will need to submit your 12th first quarter grades by or before December 1. If you are accepted early decision, the counselor will still need to submit your first semester grades and final year end transcript, but these will have no bearing on your admissions.

@Cantabile7 - I also cannot find any specific date listed on Wellesley’s website. Eventually, they will post the notification date and hour on the MyWellesley portal. If I remember correctly, ED decisions last year were posted 5pm Eastern Standard Time on Dec 11. If things go the same this year, ED decisions might be posted by Dec 10. Also according to their academic calendar, classes end on Dec 10 this Fall and students enter into their reading and exam periods. Since admissions are decided by professors, students, and admission officers, it seems possible that ED applications would be decided before students begin their reading and exam period. If I am right, then we have 32 days, 7 hours, 33 minutes until we find out.
