The link worked! Thank you! I’m in!
Thanks for the link! I was rejected but I kinda saw it coming. Congratulations to everyone else!
First acceptance! So excited congrats to everyone and sorry to those who were not admitted
Mine just did the same.
ACCEPTED!!! #goldenclassof2019
Accepted! I can’t even believe it. Wellesley has been my top choice since I visited campus in December. I totally fell in love and regretted not applying ED. I was worried about my chances, as all applicants seem so qualified. This is amazing. I am so grateful.
Accepted!! My financial aid was doing the weird null thing too.
To anyone who’s fin aid disappeared (like mine): Remember that letters weren’t meant to be posted till tomorrow morning! they most likely posted these accidentally and will repost in the morning! I doubt out aid will be effected.
Accepted (for sure)! I’m so excited! I LOVE Wellesley and I am going to put some serious consideration into going there!
Rejected… oh well… I’m off to Mount Holyoke
Congrats to everyone who got admitted
@shijia so will i be seeing you next year at international orientation week???
OH GOD I JUST GOT ACCEPTED. I WAS SO READY FOR HOLYOKE. NOW I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO. SOMEONE PLEASE SAVE ME
Just saw the decision… Rejected
@yazikaki I’d love to, but there was no room for me, hahaha
Oh and congratulations to all those who got in!!
Waitlisted. I was expecting a rejection so I’m really happy, but it was my top choice.
(Kinda hoping someone will decline their offer and that I will have the opportunity to attend.)
Wait-listed! Was sort of expecting after receiving wait-list offers from Boston College and Kenyon last week. I’ll only be accepting a spot at Wellesley and hoping for the best as the rest of my decisions come in! Wellesley is my number one, so I’m just going to keep my fingers crossed.
WAITLISTED UGHHHH
not what I was hoping to hear
Waitlisted!! Fingers crossed that a spot clears up.
Yay officially accepted! I received a likely in February but I was super nervous that I would jinx myself and end up waitlisted or rejected

I’m teaching myself Ancient Greek so I can translate the poems of Sappho into Latin and English.
Major Awards: QuestBridge National College Match Finalist, National Latin Exam Gold Medal, National Honor Society
Subjective
Planned Major: Classical Archaeology w/ minors in Gender Studies and Computer Science
Extracurriculars: Founder and President of my school’s NACLO club, Give To Give treasurer (see volunteer), have been on Student Senate all years before this one, member of the Hiking Club.
Job/Work Experience: I have two jobs, both on the heavy side of part-time during the school year, both full time in the summer/vacations
Volunteer/Community service: Treasurer of my school’s club that raises money for our sister school, called Give to Give. I’ve put a whole bunch of time and effort into this since my sophomore year, probably 700 hours. Also some tutoring here and there.
Summer Activities: Work and Latin
Essays: I think my CA essay was really strong, it was about the poverty and hard times I’ve faced and it was edited by a friend of my mom’s who’s an admissions officer at UC Berkeley. I spent a lot of time on my Why Wellesley essay and I think the way I tied it all together was unique and nice to read.
Teacher Recommendation: One really great (8/10), one a little less than what I expected but still good (6/10)
Counselor Rec: No clue
Additional Rec: GREAT rec from my boss (9/10)
Interview: Superb! I interviewed with a student and we had a long, intense conversation about race, gender, economics, and the importance of education.
Other
State: MA
School Type: Public
Ethnicity: White
Gender: Female
Income Bracket: $50,000-$60,000
Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): nothing other than Questbridge and maybe my major
Reflection
Strengths: Essays, leadership, major, CR score, and my work in Latin and Greek. I have been self-teaching myself Latin and Greek since the 2nd semester of my sophomore year.
Weaknesses: Chemistry…went from an A to a C in Honors Chem my junior year after switching schools in the middle of the year but I still went on to take AP Chem which is why I think it was okay. Did a lot better in AP even though my AP score was horrendous. Also my Math SAT 2 subject test was weak, and my writing and math sections on the regular SATs. I guess it’s okay since I’m a Classics major!
Why you think you were accepted: I showed A LOT of interest in Wellesley. I visited about five times, did the Wellesley weekend, interviewed, met with the Classics department head, went to two classes, and have been in contact with a student. I think this was reflected in my supplement essay.
Where else were you accepted: Mount Holyoke! Rejected from Bowdoin, Carleton, and Pomona, still waiting on 15 schools >.<
General Comments: I am so happy to have been accepted! I’m a little nervous about FA tomorrow, but I hope everything works out and I can go to my dream school!!! Congratulations to everyone, regardless of their result! We’ve all worked so hard and I know we’ll end up where we’re meant to be
D was waitlisted and so on to the other five schools we are waiting for lol… Congratulations to everyone who had Wellesley as their #1 and got in !!!
