OFFICIAL Wellesley Early Evaluation Waiting Thread! (Class of 2016!)

@glido
Did you apply Early Evaluation? All EE applicants got an email saying that we’ll find out Feb. 22 at 5PM EST.

So will we receive our financial aid packages in the mail within a week of the EE decision, or do we have to wait until RD for them?

EE is not a decision, so no fin aid until official decision. At least that’s my understanding.

out of curiosity, has a likely ever turned into a rejection?

@drinksuited
Not to my knowledge. Wellesley spends a lot of time “courting” likelies. A lot of effort goes into trying to get them to attend. I’ve heard that Wellesley likelies get personal, handwritten notes and everything!

Unless you get arrested/kill someone/fail every single one of your classes, you’re pretty much accepted.

@UFOninja… oh dang, I guess that’s me… =P

I’m so excited for February 22!!! It’s really awesome Wellesley has Early Evaluations, it seems so cruel to have to wait until April 1 for all the other decisions!!!

I visited Wellesley and LOVED it!

I’m also super excited about Feb. 22! I have the day marked on my calendar and I’m doing a countdown for it. It’s like I’m five and counting off the days until Christmas again, only this time it’s college decisions! :D

I wish Smith had Early Evaluations as well. Smith is my other top choice, and waiting until the end of March might very well kill me, lol.

By the way, it’s less than 4 weeks now until we get our EE decisions for Wellesley! Yay!

When did you guys get the email that said they will release early evaluations on Feb 22?

@crayonwax
I got the email on Jan. 10. It was titled “Early Evaluation Explanation.” If you haven’t gotten it yet, perhaps you should contact the admissions office and make sure they received all of your stuff.

Got to send my Midyear Report along with updated transcript (including first semester senior year grades) tomorrow! Btw, it’s due by Feb. 10.

Oh no! My finals got pushed back so grades aren’t even due until February 8th! I’m going to try to email the office of admissions and see what I have to do =( Thanks a lot snow!

@StarbucksBarista

You can tell your registrar/counselor to fax your Midyear Report (in this case, you should print it out and take it to him/her) and updated transcript to Admissions (781-283-3678). Don’t forget a cover sheet!

I got the EE e-mail. All I remember is that it said to get mid-year grades in asap! Did that. GC was really helpful.

I’ve been counting down the days till those EE letters come out, and memorizing the course catalogue. I realllllly hope I get a likely- if I’m a possible, I don’t think I could stand to wait another month.

Is Wellesley one of the first choices for most of you?

@penguin369
Yes, Wellesley is one of my first choices. Wellesley and Smith are currently tied for top choice :D

Wellesley is my first choice.

Wellesley is my top choice right after MIT, but it would be a miracle the caliber of solving the Riemann hypothesis if I got in. I’m starting to think going to a women’s college would be really good for me though, so Wellesley and Smith are way up there on my list.

Wellesley is my third choice. Smith and Scripps take precedence.

Today is February 1! Officially 21 more days left…ahhhhh! I’m already having sleepless nights.
