Reflection

  • [] Strengths: Extracurriculars, recommendations
    [] Weaknesses: test scores
    [] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I am involved in a variety of activities, and I hold leadership positions in a lot of different organizations. I think I have broad interests. I think that being a Book Award recipient also really helped.

Congratulations to my fellow classmates! I cannot wait to meet all of you, and begin our bright futures together as Wellesley women!!!

Congrats are in order for everyone who made it! Can’t wait to see the new prospies on campus for school…but, seriously, stop trying to take my spot! I want to be in my first year forever! Oh haha, it’s crazy how fast time flies =D

For those of you that did not:
Trust me, I know EXACTLY how depressing it is to be rejected from a school that you genuinely want to go to. I totally understand. I think the best way to address that, is just KNOW that life doesn’t stop here. There are other schools just as excellent as Wellesley are very deserving of your passion and the talents that you bring to the table. Never give up! And I’m not just saying this from a “I got in” approach…I AM serious. One of my friends put on her facebook status…“don’t cry to give up, cry to keep going”. Have faith in yourself and know that you have something to offer some other school, if not Wellesley. :smiley:
Keep your head up!

EDIT: Not sure what I did here… trying to fix it. :stuck_out_tongue: Sorry!

@MissFem
I met her during the info session when I visited and then when I got back home, I emailed her periodically with questions about the application process or just general things about Wellesley (courses, professors etc.) and that’s basically it. Just email them enough to have them remember your name but not so much that you look desperate or creepy haha
Good luck!

[/ul]General Comments: For future applicants: Don’t be afraid of applying just because you have lower stats! I’m smart, but I struggle with the immense amounts of schoolwork my classes give. There’s just so much, and it’s often tedious. My school also deflates grades. Best of luck!

congrats to the new class of 2015’ers! (wow i feel old). i just wanted to make a quick note though, i’ve noticed there are some posts that question the “gender” part of the stats since wellesley is a women’s college. even though you must be biologically female to go to wellesley, we have plenty of students who identify as transgender or genderqueer. so female isn’t the “obvious” answer in every case. just wanted to point that out so that our newbies who identify as something other than female don’t feel left out :)
