driftwood, if i were you i’d rather know. if it was the thirteenth and we hadn’t found out yet, i’d be so keyed up on nerves that i’d do nothing but check the website over and over again…as i am doing right now, even though i’m fully aware that they probably aren’t posting anything today. XD

true…i don’t know whether i’d rather know or not know. i’m killing myself working this week so that either way there won’t be too much riding on next weekend.

ok well i THINK that last year they got an email on the 7th saying when the decisions would be posted. so we’ll get an email a good 4/5 days before the decisions go up. keep checking your email AND the spam folder!

i think i’d rather know. this not-knowing is getting to me, and ahhhhh, we still have at least until friday. i feel like no matter what happens, eventually i’m going to be accepted or rejected, and i might as well know and not drag out the hoping/agonizing.

it’s next monday - a week from today. the 13th. ONE WEEK, GUYS!

Halestorm, how do you know?! I haven’t heard anything to confirm that yet.

Ahh really? Did you get an email?!

no, my dad called the admissions office. he’s an alumna.

I will be attending Wesleyan University next year.

Care to elaborate on that, Peruvian?

“Alumna”, really halestorm? Your father or your mother…?

I will be part of the Wesleyan class of 2015. I found out earlier than the ED 1 students because I got matched with them through Questbridge. I believe you guys will find out the 13th.

Congratulations to you! I am sure you will love Wesleyan and all it has to offer.

Emails just went out! We find out on Monday at 3 PM, for sure.

just got the email. thought maybe we’d find out friday. anticipationnnnnnn

You guys, I am so nervous! The wait to December 13th is going to be the death of me…

congrats, Peruvian! we’re all terribly jealous.

Today’s Argus has an interview with long-time Senior Associate Dean of Admission Greg Pike.

[Larger Early Decision I Applicant Pool Shows Increased Diversity ? The Wesleyan Argus](The Wesleyan Argus | Larger Early Decision I Applicant Pool Shows Increased Diversity)

He offered updated information on ED 1 stats. Approximately 523 students have applied ED 1. Of these, 285 were from public schools and 238 from private schools. A total of 107 students of color and 16 international students have applied. Among the students of color, there was a 44% decrease among African American student applicants from last year.

Dean Pyke stated that the overall test scores and academic rankings were “roughly similar” to last year, and he hopes that about the same number of students will be accepted as in 2009.

I read the Argus hoping it would give me some secret idea of what’s going to happen on Monday… it did not. :P

Knowing a date makes the wait seem real and unbearable. I just need to know… ahh!
