I called the Stanford admissions office about an hour ago, and here's the scoop on e-mail decisions:

Yes, Stanford is e-mailing admissions decisions to all SCEA applicants on the same day as the letters are snail-mailed. I would assume that the same goes for international students' decisions. However, this date will not necessarily be December 15th -- they're sticking with the "mid-December" date (or lack thereof) based on the variable number of applications that come in each year so that they have some leeway. I think it's pretty safe to say that we'll find out sometime next week.

I didn't ask about 5 pm EST or PST, seeing as we can't even nail down an exact notification date. Just make sure that you spend all of next week in rooms with high ceilings and soft floors!

My friend told me one of his friends got her letter yesterday and I almost flipped. I told him there was no wayyyy or CC would've gone crazy with people posting their decisions AND because trustworhty CCers said we would be emailed decisions...
turns out she was an athlete.
Good thing I have you guys to keep me sane.

Last year, they sent out letters on the 10th, which was the second Friday of December, so this year, it would be on the 9th. I live in the Bay Area, and all my friends found out by the 12th...god this makes me nervous.
