<p>SUMMER:
Research at Columbia, NYU. Got recs.
Interview was a blast. Spoke about NYC, Nigeria, oil, gold, diamonds, Yale, Harvard, The Game, Handsome Dan, and the value of women in society.
Essays were three weeks of sleeping and writing then sleeping and writing. Nobody went over them. </p>

<h1>1 was a compilation of taxi cab rides I have had. Several NYC taxis, one in Arizona, Chicago, and some others in east coast.</h1>

<h1>2 was how a reflection on how I have gotten a life. How I cannot make sense when I am contributing in class, how I have come from making a Yale resume to loving my ECs, and what it would feel like to live in the worst conditions. It was a movie trailer and you need to capture the essay.</h1>

<p>I did not see recs. I think they were good. </p>

I sent in my research abstracts, two mentor recs, a resume, presidential scholars candidate update, etc. Loads of supplementary material for them to judge. I have also self-taught myself around 7 programming languages and am fluent in French, proficient in German.</p>

<p>The admissions dean did send an email to approximately 50 waitlistees informing them that they would remain on the list until late June – but it warned them not to get their hopes up.</p>
