Official Yale Class of 2014 SCEA Results Thread

This happened last year. The system can’t handle that many people checking at once, so some people are able to access it, while others can’t. Personally, I arrived at two completely blank screens before I was able to access it a full 5 minutes after my friend called me to tell me her result.

Be patient. You’ll find out.

we got our decisions :(

[] Teacher Recommendation: One was amazing (by the aforementioned teacher, my AP English Language teacher), One by my AP Physics B teacher (I was the only one in the class to get a five, so I’d assume it would be good.)
[] Counselor Rec: Being at my school means you don’t know your guidance counselor; I know one of the other ones (and she had gotten an award from Yale, too) but they wouldn’t let me switch. I filled out the questionnaire, though, so that’s as good as it could be.

[] Essays: Common App - Pretty good. It made a friend cry. It was about giving a eulogy at my dad’s funeral. Yale - terrible, lol. I wrote it very early, like in September, and then sent it in so early, so when I realized it was crap I couldn’t change it anymore…learn a lesson, people. Don’t submit your supplements too early.
[] Teacher Recommendation: Never saw them, but my teachers liked me.
[] Counselor Rec: Big public school, but I know her  talk to her a lot. Oh, that reminds me, I have to buy her a present!

[] Weaknesses: ECs and leadership, yale essay
[li] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: My yale essay sucked, really. Also my leadership could be better.[/li][/ul]

General Comments: Good luck to everyone :] Whoever got in, you guys deserved it. Seeing as Yale isn’t my DREAM school, I guess I deserved this deferal seeing as I don’t have true passion for this school. I know I’ll end up where God wants me, and that’s all that matters. Hopefully good things will happen in April :] Sigh, can I wait four months?

AND ALSO DON’T SUBMIT YOUR THINGS TOO EARLY LEST YOU WANT TO CHANGE THEM. Lol that essay will scar me forever.
