I’m an RD applicant and I’m lurking here looking at everyone’s stats, and the number of extremely capable candidates who’ve been deferred is surprising! Although this is tame compared to Columbia’s thread with rejection after rejection
Good luck to everyone deferred, commiserations for those who were rejected and congratulations to all those accepted!

Basic stats: 2310 SAT I, 800*2 SAT II, 4.0 GPA (unweighted), self-studied 3 APs and got 5s, international, very low income.
Weakness: probably teacher recommendations.

Deferred. It oddly doesn’t feel as bad as I expected, especially after seeing most of the top CC people get deferred. Best of luck to all who were deferred; congratulations to all who were accepted; and condolences to all who were rejected.

EDIT: Just for the sake of this thread, I’ll post brief stats, but not the full format. ACT: 36, GPA: 3.96 UW, 4.125W, top 10% (school only ranks by deciles), 3 AP tests: 5s on all. Generically good recs/essays/ECs. No hook.
