<p>This was started by davidrune for Yale early action. It is probably a good time to start one up again for regular decision time. Remember a few key points:</p>

<p>1.) DO NOT GIVE OUR YOUR ESSAY ON THE BOARD. They can be stolen or worst case, you could actually lose your admission is the counselors look at this. I can not stress this point enough.</p>

<p>2.) Only corespond with people who A.) Have a significant number of legitimate posts. Do not give it to someone who has only posted twice. A.) Seems serious about the process. Someone like davidrune, for example, can be trusted as a legitimate reader.</p>

<p>3.) Do not copy any part of anyone elses essay. If you come over an essay that is about a similar topic to your topic, don't read it.</p>

<p>4.) To correspond, use A.) the feature after clicking on the user name to send an email to the reader. This feature may be disabled and you may ask to turn it on. B.) Send a private message into their collegeconfidential folder by clicking on their user name and following the links. To access this information, log in and click on your control panel. C.) Find another way that doesn't include posting info on the board that goes against CC rules.</p>

<p>Just post your email address and others can decide whether or not they want to send their essays to you. </p>

<p>Just as a word of warning, u should probably only send ur essays to people that you CAN trust... if that's possible online. Don't send it to random people that have like 1 or 2 posts... and all of a sudden wants ur essays... </p>

<p>We can also post comments here, so we can discuss each others essays as well.</p>

<p>Why don't you wait until the Regular Decision deadline has passed, as we did? That way you could prevent someone from stealing ideas... (I hope no one takes that the wrong way... you know how SOME people are...)</p>
