Official Yale SCEA Countdown Thread!

@hiernonymus312 - My thoughts exactly. ;P

I'm trying to convince myself that I'll get rejected so once it happens, it won't be too much of a blow.

But that little bit of hope just.won't.die. :(

haha same exactly.
But then again, I don't want all my hopes to die, you know? It's still nice thinking that there is a slim possibility...

Oh, I've definitely tried the whole preparing to be disappointed thing. It does work for a little bit, until I start daydreaming, and then I delude myself once again that there is in fact hope.

:D

^ exactly!!
and boy do i have a vivid imagination.

this sucks. :(

^ i tried to forget about yale.. and realized that I had an interview.
and everything came back like it was never gone.

Im currently trying to be 'passionate' about some other school .. not working

Thirty-five days!

^ Who else has a countdown in their planner/calendar?

hehehe i was thinking about making one

If I'm this nervous now, how crazy am I going to be on Dec. 14? Or on the day of Dec. 15, for that matter? Oy.

Again... relax. One school can't define your life

It's a big decision. It's four years of your life (of your youth). I think it's a pretty big deal.

disasterous: it actually can.

Disasterous: I don't think it's going to "define" my life, but...sheesh, don't I get to be excited and nervous about it? Let me be.

I feel sick to my stomach just thinking about December 15.
If only my scores were a little bit better...

^^ If only my whole life were a little bit better...

Aww.
hellosail, I believe in you!

But seriously, a gazillion people from my school applied early to Yale...
Plus I looked at my SAT score report today and realized that I actually scored 10 pts less on an SAT II test than I had thought this whole time. Ugh.

hey hey kids...let's keep this thread HAPPY! the reason i made it was because the other "official" thread was really depressing/boring!

i haven't been very active (at least on this) lately, but I'm visiting Yale (and Princeton, blech) next week and I'll be sure to post an extensive report here! Anyone else have any visit memories?

Has anyone else reread their essays and realized they were crap?

^ yes. :(

and basically every other part of the app.
