For the past three years there have been "pledge threads" in the Yale forum of CC for each year's SCEA applicants. Posters who add their names to the thread list simply promise to report their admission results within a few days after they receive them on Dec. 15. (You do not have to post your application data if you do not wish to.) The idea is to be able to measure Yale-CC-poster admission results while avoiding the potential bias that might result when applicants post their results on CC only after they know of their success. I will also point out that the admission rates for pledgers have been significantly higher than for the general SCEA pool, so perhaps there is a little good fortune to be had by pledging (post hoc ergo propter hoc) :)

This thread is intended to focus on pledging only. Feel free to discuss other aspects of your applications in the sticky thread already dedicated to this purpose.

As you will see I have kept track of success/failure rates, including deferred-RD rates in April, the past three years and will do so this year if enough of you will cooperate on this year's thread.

To make it a little more interesting, I challenge 2016 pledgers to break last year's total of 139 pledgers (you have to add your name to the list by 5 PM ET, Dec. 15, of course) and 2013's 87.5% compliance rate (112 out 128 pledgers eventually met their pledge).

Same case as the poster above haha not exactly expecting an acceptance, but I want to contribute to the following generations that are thinking about applying. Best of luck to all of us!

wooo like several posters above me i am expecting a deferral at best, if not flat out rejection (as is completely likely ><).
expect my results post a few days late, after i finish burying my sorrows in ice cream. :D
