<p>Hey I’m also a soon to be college freshman appealing for Davis. I hope I get in since it’s my top choice!</p>
<p>still waiting to. But seven more days until their dec. will be released! But yes going crazy waiting, but trying to keep my hopes down. Im accepting to Sonoma state in the mean time, UCD is my top choice but SSU is my second. It’s just wait and see! Good luck to you though. What was your appeal about? Mines so I can be close by the help care for my ailing great aunt who needs help more and more…</p>
<p>Aggiefan, I think your reason for a appeal is perfect and will definitely help in getting you in to Davis. My grounds aren’t that special, just that I improved my gpa dramatically (3.17 weighted to a 4.0 weighted) this year and my experience as writing tutor (just became a tutor this year). If my appeal doesn’t go through for both Davis and Irvine then I’ll settle for UCSC.</p>
<p>Well your reason is good for academic reasons and that is a nice increase on your GPA. One of my fiends just accepted to UCSC, she got waitlisted for her top choice, and only other option was a out of state. Are you going to wait until the 30th or accept UCSC now?</p>
<p>aggiefan: mine was similar too that i had to live close by home so i can take care of my parents since they are sick. & if the appeal doesnt work i guess im off to sf state:)</p>

<p>Sf state is acually my third choice, but I like the more rural setting than city. But the drive from Sf to Davis is not that bad. What I really hate is waiting. It is driving me crazy! I have to keep myself from checking the site every five min.</p>

<p>No I only applied to UCD. Im not really expecting my appeal to work, but I needed to try everything to get into the school I really wanted. I felt that I would regret not trying. But if it doesn’t work I will transfer in a year or two. Well 7 more days! But what I have heard is that Davis has a higher rate of accepting appeals than other UC schools. I dont know if thats true but I have seen a lot of threads about students getting in on appeals…</p>
<p>Ok so wierd. If you applied to UC’s I suggest you go to the general UC application status website and have a look. One of the UC’s I applied to forwarded my application to UC Riverside and UC Merced. But never told me. I got an acceptance letter from UCR today in the mail. I have been getting emails from them, but never anything saying I was admitted! So now I have to choose in 7 days, and will not be able to look at the campus at UCM, but I could have if they had freakin told me! So for my fellow appealers, I suggest you look at the general UC app site, just to make sure!</p>
<p>yea i heard if ur top 25 percent or something from your school and dont get into the UC’s you applied to…your guarantee to atleast one UC so mayb dats why you got appected to Riverside and Merced because not alot of people apply there and they needed more people</p>
<p>Yeah maybe, but they could tell you they did it. Just a warning to other though to check and make sure… Well another day down and six to go until Davis appeal day!</p>

<p>AH! I keep checking, I have a feeling it will come out earlier…thats what my friends who appealed last year said. Davis has a waitlist this year… how do you think our chance of being accepted on an appeal will be now?</p>

<p>I have the same feeling that it will come out early, but now Im not so sure. I think it will be posted sometime soon after midnight on Wed. But appealing is different then getting waitlisted. I think you might be able to appeal and they put you on the wait list, but mostly I think that they just make room for you! Hopefully, well two more days everyone!</p>
<p>i thought they would post them early since they post some early for the March 15 decision…some receieved them March 12…i hope they post them already!!</p>
<p>I have heard that they will be posting them sometime late Thur. Usually when colleges give you a date they release them that day. But I was thinking and hopeing the same thing! But only two more days!</p>
