<p>Nah, for most colleges you can pay before you submit your application. That’s what I did. I spent a good $350 on my applications before typing any of the essays, for motivation of course. I thought to myself, “Well, I just paid all this money. Now I have to do the application or my parents will kill me.” It worked.</p>
<p>I doubt they’d care too much. One of my friends forgot to send in money for his app to Dartmouth and he still ended up getting in RD, so I don’t think they put too much importance on if you send it in time or not.</p>
