I lol'ed when Obama got McCain's name wrong twice. And McCain does this weird thing with his lip when he talks. As far as content, I thought it was alright. How bout you?

Obama misspoke once; it wasn't nearly as bad as McCain consistently calling Ahmadinejad "Akmadinejad." That wasn't simple misspeaking, that was plain ignorance.

No, he messed up twice. Once Tom, once Jim. It was funny because it was unintentional and obviously a mistake.

McCain's blunder was not funny because he didn't know he was wrong- and that's scary.

I agree, McCain is sad...

It was a disappointment for me... I felt like they just used the same talking points over and over and recycled them to suit each question. Even though I don't support him, McCain impressed me with his coolness. Obama was articulate and hit on some major points but seemed to miss a decent amount as well and said way too much, "You know, John is absolutely right....but.." Just get to the point and forget about John grrr

y politics ? =[ speaking of obama,i did saw him on TV(i think the last time i saw him in newspaper/tv was like 4-5 months ago LOL) when i was at McDs =p

mccain speaks unbearably slow. its ridiculous. and the bastard doesnt even bother to brush his teeth. and he uses appeal to pathos WAYY too much. enough with the POW and veteran talk already. and i hate how mccain would give this crappy pedo-smile whenever obama said something "funny."

Actually McCain is smiling to try and stop himself from laughing aloud whenever Obama says something ludicrous. I on the other hand didn't bother to restrain myself.

I think Obama misspoke only once; wasn't the moderator's name Jim? I thought he was referring to the moderator that second time...

But I digress.

McCain made a few really good points but his mannerisms and style of speaking really turned me off. We all know Obama's a good speaker, but it was really quite nice how he managed to defend himself so quickly a few times and focused more on the moderator and the people at home, especially in the beginning.

Obama won. FP was supposed to be McCain's strong point but Obama held his own.

Is it just me, or did McCain lie? Like, straight-up flat-out lie?

I mean, it's fact that he opposed storing nuclear facilities in Arizona...

i learned that people in South Korea are on average three inches taller than North Koreans :)

Haha, yeah the North Korean height fact was pretty absurd...I only heard the debates on the radio (was sitting on a bus) but thought that Obama spoke much more clearly overall

i love how you criticize McCain for "mispronouncing" a name. He was actually correct in the way he pronounced it. If you know anything about the language, "ah" makes and "achk" sound.

Oh, gar_spartan, how honorable of you try to stick up for Johnny. Too bad you're completely, absolutely, wrong.

I fell asleep. The best part was when Obama said "orgy of spending." The graph CNN had at the bottom was extremely annoying.

lol that debate taught me nothing new (apart from the North Korean to South Korean height comparison). Everyone knows that obama is clearly the better candidate and this debate only strengthened my support for him.

wow. for you to make that claim proves you truly lack political knowledge. not "everyone" "knows" that obama is the better candidate. i personally believe that mccain is the better candidate and that obama lacks any true concrete policies, but i would never throw such an uninformed, arrogant comment around like that.

Guess you gave up on defending McCain about that particular point, eh, gar_spartan? Tell me, how is he going to deal with foreign policy if he can't even pronounce the name of the Iranian president?

^ Mispronunciation of etymology doesn't implicate inefficiency in a field. It just means that he would fail in my English class.

I only heard part of it, so I can't really comment on it.
