oh boy...

<p>Okay so it appears that most of the people on here are talking about ivy league schools, but hopefully someone on here can help me out with this one:</p>

<p>I'm currently a junior, and I live in New York, and I'm looking at Oneonta state as my number one choice.</p>

<p>Based on this, could someone offer some feedback on what they believe my chances are of getting in? thanks :o)</p>

<p>intended major: psych</p>

<p>GPA 85
(freshman year was low 80's, soph year was upper 80's, this year is in the 90's :o)</p>

<p>PSAT- 167, in the 74 percentile, overall
(After taking the SAT a few times, im aiming for an 1150-1200 math & verbal)</p>

<p>regents exams:
earth science: 73
bio: 85
math A: 89
global: 89</p>

<p>extra curriculars:
Freshman, JV, & varsity cheerleading
(2 seasons freshman year, 1 sophmore year, 2 junior year)
french club- 1 year
senior year- CEIP (an internship program through my school) for one semester in psych
waitress for 1 year
choraliers (audition singing group) - 3years
acappella (audition singing group)- 1 year
performed in respect festival once a year for 2 years
competed in shen idol competition spring 2005 and 2006</p>

<p>community service:
girl scout from k-8th (not sure if this counts for anything, but im giving it a shot)
Helped out for an afternoon at regional food bank, spring 2005
Pep club instructor for 2 month session, spring 2004
2k cystic fibrosis run, spring 2005
Volunteered at regional food bank for an afternoon, winter 2005</p>

<p>don't know if regents test scores matter in suny and cuny schools, but i'd say you have no problem getting in.</p>

<p>Oneonta is one of the easier SUNYs, and I think you'll make it. Good luck!</p>
