Just now, I was trying to submit my commonapp to one of the schools on my list, I realized they will send it too all the schools you listed so I took off all of the colleges and only highlighted the one I wanted to submit it to, and I saved that but somehow, it submitted the application to all of my colleges including harvard.
However, I did not want to submit the application to Harvard yet, I needed to update my activities sheet, ahhhhh!!!!!
Should I call Harvard Admission's office tommorow and explain the situation to see if they will disregard the online submission and use a paper application instead?

well, that sucks. my advice is too just let it slip. less competition for us...

;)

I'll be playing fair:) Just send in the updated sheet thru snail mail or fax, why not? Explain it briefly. I don't see why they won't accept it. I'm having problems with this commonapp submission thing too. Turns out if you submit one, you submit all. And you can just do it once. This is, I'm sorry, sort of silly of the guys who designed the site. They never take it in that there are EA/ED applicants out there.

wow, of course they do, youre just retarded and havent figured out how to do it.

Well, they let you make a copy and modify some things before sending it to more schools. But your half of it, like your essays, is stuck as you sent it before. So if you want to submit a different essay or something later, you have to redo the whole thing. La sigh. I better get into Yale on this first round :)

tym-not true. You can copy your completed application and then modify the copy.

dwer, it is my understanding that you can make changes to your application by contacting the admissions office. try calling them and explaining your situation. don't fret just yet. and good luck!

jfm, you're right. Mine came out as cemented in little gray boxes before, but now it's modifiable (modifyable? It is in a format suited to modifying. There.)

It's modifiable man:D

tkm-I'm assuming the system hasn't changed since last year. Back then, you could duplicate a sent (unchangeable) application, and then modify the duplicate. See if you can find the duplicate/copy option.

yea, i called the admissions office, they said to just mail it and say revised copy on the envolope.

Yeh i sent my EA app to Yale, then thought crap.i mentioned yale in my common app essay, which means I cantexactly use the common app online for other colleges>< how inconsiderate of whoever designed the site!

Justforgetme is right. You can submit several different common apps to several different colleges. Just press "Copy" in the Application section to make a new app. So I withdraw my previous statement that CA guys are silly:D

Why not take courier instead instead of burning ur already stressed out brains wid Tim Berners Lee's "Web of Horrors" (pardon the pun!!!! )
