Oh, dear! My UC essays are 1150 words - Bad?

Will I not be able to submit my application?

The website says if it is a bit over - like 1012 words - it's fine...but what about 1150 words? I have no idea how to shorten it. Can someone help?

You will need to shorten it. See this in the essay forum:

how about 1040 words?

Definitely try to cut it down. If you have superfluous words, then cut that. If there’s anything that doesn’t show who you are, cut it. Ask others and see what they think is not neccessary.

@dt__: if you can, cut to around 1020…but I think 1040 words is probably ok. :D

Trust me, your writing isn’t that good that you absolutely CANNOT edit ANYTHING out. You can most certainly get rid of 150 words. Start by getting rid of every “very,” since that’s a very useless word.

Oh, dear! Lol, I found the title amusing, thus I had to post. I know I have not contributed anything to this thread.
