i applied to mcgill but i didnt want to apply to the really hard to get into school. this is what it says on my app:

Application Data

am i screwed? is it the hard to get into one (dual degree is it?) can i change it? argh?

No worry. It is not a dual degree program. It simply means that you can take courses from both Faculty of Art and Faculty of Science. For admission statistics for B.A.Sc, google for it or look for it in the older post, I think mcgilldad posted it several times before. And, no. I don't think you can change it.

I am not sure what you mean by a dual degree program, but my daughter in Arts & Sciences has two majors, one in Arts (Humanistic Studies) and one in
Sciences (Psychology). A&S is one of the more difficult faculties to obtain admission to, here is the link you are looking for:

I recommend that, to be safe, you also apply to the Arts or the Sciences faculty, which ever is your prime interest. You can add a second faculty on your application at no extra cost. You might call admissions to get their advice on how to amend an application. It must have been done before.

P.S. you CAN change it. I called (or emailed the adcom, I don't really remember) them around this time last year and had them change one of my applications from Materials Engineering to B Sc. Chemistry...It was no big deal.
