So I have been out of town and went to mail my teacher rec and transcript today...and the post offices are closed. Should I continue having an anxiety attack or do you think it's okay to mail the out tomorrow?

As long as your application is in today, you’re fine. They’ll be putting your file together throughout the month of January.

NYU makes it explicit that all supplementary materials have to be POSTMARKED by JANUARY 1st. As in, today.

**For freshman applicants applying for entry in September 2010, the application deadline is January 1, 2010. Older publications may still have the January 15th date, but that is incorrect. The deadline is January 1, 2010.

Applications postmarked after these deadlines will be considered only if space remains in the school/college and program desired. Credentials (transcripts, test scores, letters of recommendation, etc.) received well after the application deadline will put you at a disadvantage in the admissions process.**

But if your online application is in, they will accept the supplementary materials.
