<p>I agree with scubasue. There is indeed being a double standard here and for all we know, the school didn’t wait 2 months just to respond, but that the girl just happened to say the word in the moment. The school acted 100% unreasonably. In the context that the girl used thr word in, technically it wasn’t a curse word. She may be a firm believer in her morals, but she also could be hurting herself by not getting her diploma.</p>
<p>Perfect! If Romney can say “Hell” in his acceptance speech, how can this school possibly deny the valedictorian her diploma? (BTW, has she received her diploma?)</p>
