Is university of vermont any good? Nobody seems to have anything much to say about it. Is it good for pre-med? How are their med school acceptance rates?
Is it great academically?
Any UVM alums out there who have any feedback?
Of course, the campus looks gorgeous and the place seems to be great.
How's Bard for pre-med? And academically? Bard seems so obscure- is it? I can't really find any useful info on Bard.
I just want an academically charged school other than the ivies.

University of Vermont is a very good school. It is good for pre-med. You should contact them directly for information about the pre-med program and medical school acceptance rates.

It is a bit on the expensive side for out of state students, however.

I'm international, I would be pre-med at University of Vermont. I defintely want to go to one of the Ivies for Med school, so I'm just wondering if UVM would boost my chances of getting into the Ivies for med school.

UVM would not necessarily boost your chances for med school, but it certainly wouldn't hurt them. UVM is a really nice school for the right person.

We visited UVM this summer. The campus is lovely, and so is Burlington. It is a solid state flagship university. Not up to the standard of most of the UCs, UVA, Penn State, or Michigan, but not far behind them. Biology and health sciences are strong there so you will get a good pre-med education there, but you can get it at a lot of places. Its proximity won't make it particularly helpful for the Ivy League schools. Be aware that it gets very cold in the winter. Daytime highs less than 0 F (-18 C) are not uncommorn.
