could you guys chance me for:
vanderbilt
emory
oxford of emory
tulane
unc chapel hill
university of richmond
university of maryland, college park
college of william and mary

i'm really just trying to look for a good school that has a lot of diversity, ethnicity wise, and that has good financial aid packages because i'll be needing it. so if you guys have any recommendations please say so.

anyoneeeee? haha :/

is your GPA 3.6 weighted or unweighted? that makes a difference.your extra curriculars are really impressive…so its got me wondering if that took away from you curricular activities. you are a minority and your family circumstances may win you some hearts but ultimately your GPA and ACT are good predictors of how you’ll do in college.
imo, here are your chances. just being honest here don’t take it personally…

vanderbilt-rejected, waitlisted maybe
emory-rejected, waitlisted maybe
oxford college of emory-accepted
tulane-rejected, waitlisted maybe
unc chapel hill-accepted
univ of richmond-accepted
university of maryland, college park-accepted
college of william and mary-rejected, waitlisted maybe

i would suggest if you have time, to raise your gpa and act scores to be more competitive for the selective school on your list. good luck

thats my gpa unweighted
my school doesnt do weighted gpas
or school rank
however since i was able to get in national honors society
and only about 50 people were out of 200
it shows im in the top quarter of my class

haha thanks for your honesty
but i thought unc chapel hill would be more selective than emory because doesnt it have to have a certain percentage from NC?

also I’d like to add purdue to my list!

Yea…UNC is very competitve OOS. I don’t see you being accepted there with that ACT score.

I’m in the same boat…low ACT scores suck:(

I mean 28 isnt low…just for where you want to go.

haha YES THEY DO!
i wish they could just take the highest subscore… hahah

can anyone tell me a good SAT score to shoot for, for these schools?

haha oh yeah and my gpa 3.6 = 94/95
we’re on the scale in which an a = 93-100, b= 92-85 and ect.

OH and i forgot
i took ap calculus ab and ap us history
i’ll be taking ap spanish, ap gov/econ, and ap stats this upcoming year
and nanotechnology as an elective (2nd school in the nation to get the course)
and all my other classes are honors.

For schools like Vanderbilt, Emory, and UNC, you want at least a 2100, and 2200+ would be better, especially as your GPA isn’t really competitive. (Are you a junior?)
