Oh lol, my school might get closed down soon

A school on LI just decided to close (Deer Park) which really sucks for those students. They have 3 suspected cases of Swine flu, 2 in the middle school, but they aren’t hospitalized or anything. Now the students in HS are going to miss their AP tests and have to take the make up AP’s instead.

romanigypsyeyes, I just saw that on the news! I talked to my grandparents for a little bit about it since they live in the same town.

I am semi hoping that the school i’m taking AP tests at gets shut down for at least the calc test.

I wish mine closed down.

This kills the point of quarantining or avoiding it from spreading.

So what if an AP student goes and spreads it to this school? Lol…

I live about 15 miles from a state university, who had 4 confirmed cases sometime last week (now it’s up to like 10). I got no less than 11 ‘emergency’ text messages from the university that day. Unfortunately, my school didn’t close down. I guess AP tests this week. :(

My district is so stupid.
We have a probable case of the flu in our high school. All schools are closed Monday and Tuesday even though the state is HIGHLY ENCOURAGING any schools with suspected cases to close down for at least a week.

They have already said that the k-8 schools are going back to school Wednesday no matter what the outcome of the girl’s test results. However, we’re “supposed” to get the test results back later today and then they’ll decide how much longer they’re closing the school for.

It is screwing over neighboring schools with sports and stuff. Plus, it is stupid to make us all go back. There are over 6,000 kids in our high school and there are (trust me) a lot more than that one case. That girl didn’t go to Mexico, but plenty of others did, so she must’ve gotten it from one of them.

Ugh. So stupid.

Plus, we have to go to a local CC to take our AP tests. They are checking people before they come in. If people have symptoms, they don’t get to take the test. I have one later today and I have a cold. I dare them to keep me out >.<
