This isn't a new experience for me by any means I always do this to myself,
I do track and then I fall out of shape. At this point normally you don't agree /to train for a marathon/
Yeah.. That was me.
I was the cute little idiot who said 'Oh sure I'd love to train with you'
As if I'm not busy enough. As if I wasn't already sick to begin with.
Now, I need to run once a day 2 miles of constant running broke me. I am broken.
This needs fixed.

So the question how do you guys feel about exercising?.

I hate exercising too, which is why I signed up for this gym that has an indoor pool so I can go swimming (which is the most tolerable form of exercise) all year so I can stay sort of in-shape. I hate running with a passion. I would never join track/XC even if my life depended on it (okay, maybe not that extreme).

^ haha me too!
I’m taking life guarding this year and I’m err a little afraid I’m not a bad swimmer but if I get a B in swimming I’ll probably cry myself to sleep
I don’t know why I do track T.T
I’m planning on quitting but I just… Really hate quitting things y’know?

@Siriuss I know what you mean. I haven’t been a part of a school sport since 6th grade, since I know I’d become sick of it really quickly. I just kind of do it on my own. I’m an okay swimmer, I guess.

^ me complaining. (I agreed to train for a marathon. Im dying. I want lilies at my funeral)
Oh what now you expect the girl who ran 2.4 miles and walked/jogged .6 to make coherent posts?
Your asking a lot Mr.
However if you carefully read the last sentence that’s all that’s important to the thread.

I have to admit, I hated it in the beginning. I started sophomore year (going to be a senior now) and prior to that I was so bad. When I tried running I would practically die. I literally would be out of breath after a minute or two (On the first day we ran a timed two mile and I got around 18:00).

Once you’re in shape though it’s so much better. I’ve had to run by myself this summer, and that’s a lot less fun, but the reason I like running so much is because unlike swimming you can talk to other people during it. Also, you feel so good afterwards.

I also do swim team and am a lifeguard, but don’t like that nearly as much. The chlorine kills my hair and after 2 hours of swimming you always feel sick. Also, it’s so boring because you are just by yourself unable to talk to anyone for 2 hours straight.

^ Not yet.
But hey I’m a sophomore this year who hopes to be a lifeguard at the end.
But yeah public pools kinda suck. You always choke on the water and your eyes sting. None of which I’m looking forward to but I’d like to be a licensed lifeguard.
I hope that it gets better. Ive been running (today I ran today) with my brother in law who is just so jolly about the whole thing I nearly murdered him.
Having never run more then a 400 I kinda died…
Feels good afterwords they say… Might be because I’m I’ll with a stomach flue but I feel sick

I’ve been playing soccer all of my life, so I’m kind of used to exercising in that aspect, but in the off season, I’m definitely not a major exercise person. Unfortunately, this results in massive pain and exhaustion when the season restarts and I have to get back in shape. To avoid that, this summer I’ve been riding my bike on a daily basis for a few miles or so around my town in the late afternoon/evening. It actually feels rather zen. I put my headphones on, get my iPod started, and go! It’s a good part of my day now, rather than a dreaded one. So I guess I do kind of like exercising actually…

I play basketball, so I do run. However me and some of my friends who are in track were talking about this topic awhile ago. I wouldnt be able to stand track. I hate running, and running in a circle offers no amusement to me. The only way I would find it fun would be if I did hurdles…

@kiki^
Course you do.
Nah I like the head phone bit a lot actually it gives you time to think properly. I always wished I’d gotten involved in a team sport earlier but alas i didnt.

@Good
Again with the team sports
I actually run hurdles but I get too easily distracted and I’ve nearly broken bones a thousand times if my training regime is any good ill probably do distance this year I’m kind of fed up with hurdles

the worst part is everyone makes fun of me either way :’(

me not trying: “OH COME ON, YOU CAN DO BETTER THAT, YOU’RE PATHETIC”
me trying: “GET BACK IN THE KITCHEN THAT’S DANGEROUS DON’T DO THAT YOU DON’T WANT TO GET JACKED”

^ @Ell
RIGHT!? People are the biggest pain to exercise around. Like I get the motivation thing but I’ve always been a self motivated person
Don’t you dare talk to me while I’m running. I make so many death threats.
