Just got a call from Dartmouth saying I'm off of the waitlist! Good luck to the rest of you guys!

Wow, that was such a low percentage chance. Congrats!! Where were you headed before?

Rutgers, so I'm ****ing relieved.

Holy ****, you seriously must be the happiest guy anywhere right now. How were you going to end up at Rutgers, no matches?

I was rejected from Princeton, Yale, and (somehow >_>) Cornell. I was waitlisted at Dartmouth, so I wrote them a really nice three page letter. I think that's what did it, honestly.

WOW, Cornell as a relative safety---pretty risky lol! At least it all worked out.

wow I'm so jealous, lol. but Congratulations! Maybe...just maybe...I'll get a phone call too!

BTW, did you get an email also, or just a phone call?

Congratulations!

No e-mail; I just received the phone call.

I just got in too! Call from admissions as well! I'm in total disbelief right now

Congratulations.

i prank phone called you :) jst kidding grats!

Yeah, they just called me a few minutes ago too. Now I just need to figure out what the hell I want to do. Currently enrolled at Brandeis, which has better basic sciences by many orders of magnitude, but Dartmouth has the engineering program I want. Oh, and I live in Hanover, so that complicates things even further. Decisions, Decisions...at least I feel well informed about Dartmouth, as I've worked there for the past 3 years, and have a bunch of friends who are '08s and '09s. Another four years though?

what did you guys do to get in off the waitlist? Like did you send them extra letters or something? what did they say? Do you think they'll call anyone else o_O.

I wrote them a really nice three page letter.

wow that's so amazing! congrats!! can't wait for september...

oh well, I guess I wasnt pulled.

Congratulations!!

ChesterAArthur, ironically, those were the same four schools I applied to with the same results, except was also wait-listed at Cornell. My Dartmouth W/L never came through though, so ended up going to Colgate instead, which fortunately for me was at least more similar to Dartmouth than Rutgers. Congrats.
