I missed the FAFSA deadline and CSS profile deadline for 2 colleges, Brown and Ithaca were both due Feb. 1!!! Should I still send them anyway? For FAFSA I'll send it even though I'm late but the CSS profile costs $16 per college so I'm wondering if it's a lost cause now. I did look at FAFSA deadlines and such for the other schools I applied to and most said March was the deadline so I just assumed that I was alright but I wasn't! Why are the deadlines so early anyways, I mean my mother just got all her income tax return info and stuff today!

Yes, send them in; they are only priority deadlines.

But if I don't make it in by the priority deadline, doesn't that mean I probably have about zero chance of getting a good financial aid package? I feel so depressed right now.

It takes a few days to process anyways. And one day after priority may hurt you but likely not that much.

From what I've heard it'll just mean they'll get back to you a little later on it. Shouldn't hurt too much.

They are correct. Priority implies just that, not that you won't get FA should you be accepted.
