On the Yale application, I forgot to add a few important extracurricular activities. They wouldn't fit in the Activities section, so I meant to put them in the Additional Information section, but I sent the application in without realizing that I never added them in there. Should I send them an email? Who should I contact? I'm kinda freaking out about this.

No... the admissions office wants to know you primary activities on the common application... there is not a necessary reason to put more on the additional info section. Schools like Yale like to see depth rather than spread in activities anyway. Furthermore, those activities will nether make or break you (the essay will because 80% of applicants are virtually identical other than their teacher recs and essays).

However, with this said, I had an expertly formatted resume that was one page front and back sent to Yale to convey by depth in activities ( I could list more leadership roles and honors on a resume). I also included several additional activities. So you may want to take this route and send a nice resume that expands on your already listed activities while adding a few additional. I was admitted SCEA with this.

FInally, do not freak out! And Good Luck! Yale is truly an amazing place!

What were the additional extracurricular activities?

Thanks for the info, mythbuster. The activities were immersion/community service trips I had taken...probably similar to a lot of other people's activities, but I still considered them a pretty important part of my application.

If you REEAAAALLY want to add it in, e-mail your admissions officer about this.
