I moved into my dorm earlier this afternoon and already I've seen 3 spiders. I emailed the housing maintainance system but since this is move in weekend who knows how long it will take them to get here. I have a bad fear of spiders, I mean bad, I cant even sleep now becuase I keep thinking there might be one on my bed. Is there any sprays, like Raid, or anything else I can use in the mean time?

I HATE spiders. I cannot stand them. Too many legs, you know.

Ortho Insect Killing Sprays are what we use to kill spiders. They should be avaliable at any Lowe's or Home Depot etc. They're pretty strong. There are Ortho varieties that can be used safetly within the home, even around kitchen areas. So you should be able to find a safe but effective variety for your dorm room.

I don't know what I'm going to do in my dorm room. My campus is in a fairly wooded, forrested area, so-- lots of bugs and spiders. Blech. I want to tape up the cracks between the window screen and the window frame-- its'a 6X6 foot window, huge-- so no bugs and dust can get through.

But my roommate might think I'm a freak, so....

I love spiders, especially spider-man.

I'm with spider hater. Before I move in to a new place I first get a bug bomb from the store. You set it off and run--close the door and windows but leave closets open. Come back in an hour and open the window and door to air it out. Might be harder in a dorm because of the smell. They'll get over it. You could just open windows and leave door shut with a towel to seal it. Don't come back for at least an hour.

Oh god...my dorm better not have spiders. There are a lot of sprays you can use to kill them, but you shouldn't have to. There's no reason for you to find THREE spiders in a weekend.

3 spiders in one day!!!!!

I killed one today with a mop. Insect/arachnid/various other invertebrate cruelty my foot. Creepy crawlies are better off dead; hardly anyone likes them anyway.
