Oh god… I didn’t send my IDOC by the 10th of March, the specified deadline. My parents didn’t file their taxes until about a week ago, and we just received a copy of it…

What happens if I send it now?? Do I not get any financial aid???

The same thing happened to me. We’re supposed to have gotten an email, and they said to email them if you didn’t. I emailed them tonight, so I’ll give you an answer when I get it.

Don’t worry about it. I recently read that Brown does not require the IDOC from all applicants, and they probably would have emailed you if they needed it.

Furthermore, if you are admitted and are missing financial documents, they’ll probably just take a few more days to put together a package. People send stuff in late all the time.

(My apologies if my information is incorrect - but really, everything I’ve read points to this not being a big deal.)

@br2pi5 Brown website states that you email them the forms as soon as they are available so I think you should email them the scanned copy right now and explain why you didn’t keep to the deadline in the email.

I think the point of the IDOC is to provide additional information that might not have been available from the profile or FAFSA. So if they need this information to put together a package, they’ll request your IDOC from CollegeBoard. (Someone please correct me if I’m wrong - I have only the most basic understanding of this stuff.)

Anyway - to OP - it might even be a good sign that they emailed you asking for the extra info. But I don’t want to get into speculation (like on the Dartmouth boards! yeesh), so we’ll leave it at that and find out on Thursday.
