I’m taking a college road trip in late July from Cincinnati to South/North Carolina, planning to visit UNC, USC, Duke, and NCSU, all of which are on my list of preferred colleges. Although none of the other colleges that I’m looking into are on the way there, I was wondering if there were any campuses along the way that you guys could recommend for me to check out. From what I can tell on Google Maps, we’ll be going through Kentucky, Tennessee, South Carolina (barely), and then North Carolina. A little info about me, I’m a female honors student with a 4.16 GPA & currently tied for first in my class, apart of my school tennis team, and planning to major in Political Science. Just wanna get in as many campuses as possible!
Definitely look at Davidson in NC.
If you have time , drive south of USC into Charleston to see College of Charleston. They have a great Honors College.
Wake Forest (Winston-Salem, NC)? Furman (Greenville, SC)?
UK and Vandy?
Sounds like you’re looking at larger schools, but in SC Furman and Wofford and CofC (larger) if you’re going that far. Lots of people like Elon in NC which is pretty close to Chapel Hill area. If you’re at all interested in Davidson, go by and be sure you go in admissions office even if you’re just looking around. They track interest (at least they did a few years back). Be sure to check out UofSC honors specifically when there. Clemson also.
Clemson, Furman, in SC.
If you can stop in Virginia, University of Richmond(About 2.5 hours from Durham) College of William and Mary(45 mins from Richmond), University of Virginia (around 1 hour from Richmond, 3 hours from Durham).
