I'm currently stuck. And it's financials.

Either I can pay 20K for a education here at my state [Utah State University]

or 60K [University of Michigan Ann arbor]

My family makes 44k a year.

Should I risk going to Michigan and being in debt or stay here in Utah? [Which I really don't want to]

If I were you I'd apply to more private schools that are known for need-based aid, and look for safety schools where you've got a shot at merit aid on top of that. I would certainly never consider graduating 60k in debt, is that what UMich will cost you for 4 years including finaid (i.e. you've gotten in and they've told you this)?
Check out schools that meet 100% of need or close to it, if you can get into UMich you'll have a good shot at them.

Why do you have to make a decision now? Get the financial aid applications in to these schools and find out if they will offer you aid. And follow mephist0's advice above.
