Oh the relentlessness of the SAT

So I have a 1930, a good score by my school's account, but a bad score for the top 20 universities. I have one last chance before EA/ED in October so my parents (and I) are frantic about finding tutoring for the Oct. SAT in the bay area.

So I step back and think about this. I live in small Stockton which is about 50 miles from the nearnest bay area SAT company. Not only that, now it seems $50 an hour tutoring doesn't seem so expensive anymore. Finally, I'm spending the majority of my time studying for the SAT when I still have gaps within my extra-curricular activites and my essay to fill.

Anyone see something wrong with this picture? (realistically, although I know the SATs are very important)

Well I think the same is with me, expect I have pit-falls in my grades, rather than my ECs.

My grades are suffering because I want to try to obtain a high SAT score. But I have the summer now, so I'm gonna study my butt off!

alot of students have the same problem as you do. I guess what you have to do is to try to create balace between the two. if you find yourself concentrating too much on one thing just do the other. that's what I do.
