<p>So, I've applied to Columbia (Fu Foundation). Do I have a shot, or did I waste $70?</p>

<p>Stats: </p>

<p>SAT - 760 Critical Reading, 780 Math, 800 Writing (2340)
SAT II - 780 Math Level 2, 760 Chemistry, 710 Literature (2250) </p>

<p>GPA(W):
9th - 4.0
10th - 4.2
11th - 3.2 (yeah...rough year...medical issues)
12th - 4.1 (redemption?)</p>

<p>Courseload: Most rigorous possible.
AP Chem (5)
AP Calc AB (5)
AP Stats (5)
AP English Language (5)
AP English Literature (4)
AP Computer Science A (3) </p>

<p>All other non-AP courses are honors. </p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
- 3D game programming (have written several, fully functional video games)
- 3D graphics research
- Music (guitar, piano, bass); lead guitarist of a rock band that performs venues often
- Math team</p>

<p>So, any shot?</p>

<p>Interesting profile. Write a good essay and I think you stand a good chance. Make sure you explain that Junior year GPA</p>

<p>it's pretty hard to get in, and your scores aren't the deciding factor. this is really misleading.</p>

<p>you have to have some pretty decent ECs as well</p>

<p>definitely in the range, check out prior years threads and you will see that it is impossible to predict admissions outcomes based on data</p>
