Depends! Want to throw some stats out there for me and I can give you a better idea?

haha oh yea that would be helpful! well is it 9th through 11th academic classes only? or is it all my classes like art and sports and stuff included in my GPA?

hi, i live in vancouver. ubc cares a lot about your second term senior grades, well at least for canadians they do.

and yeah, they care about academics! human kinetics, I’d say you’d need at least an 80-85 percent academic average. though i’m not familiar with human kinetics lol.

anyways, hope I helped a little? come to canada, it’s great.

p.s. @paulaturcotte, uh…I think I was your roommate this summer LOL. what a small world:]

woah second term senior year? No one cares about senior year in the U.S! haha and hmm well 80-85% is that like a 3.4? do you know if its weighted or unweighted? because currently I am at a 3.46 weighted GPA with only my academic classes and a 3.17 unweighted with only academic. Howeveeerrr if they count all my academic classes and random classes like ASB and sports then I have a 3.59 weighted an a 3.37 unweighted. haha confusing i know. and this is only counting 9th through 11th cause I dont have any senior grades yet.

Check their site to see how they consider American applicants. Your GPA/percentage doesn’t usually translate 1:1 to the Canadian scale. Best bet would be to check the site or email the school.

okay so in case you guys were wondering I found this on their website…
Human Kinetics mid to high 80s
“The averages listed below are based only on academic courses, not the overall average.”

so based off that I looked up a percentage to GPA conversion table and although I know thats probably not totally accurate my weighted GPA is 89 and my non weighted is 86! But I’m going to take dark0ulz’s advice and just email them I guess :]

thanks everyone ill let you know what they say

NO WAY! castadiva I’m PM-ing you
Annnnd yeah everyone basically said what I was going to! But good luck with it, UBC is awesome.
