Anyone from Ohio ( or elsewhere) have thoughts on or auditioned this year or recently for:
Shawnee State
Kent State
Youngstown State
Shawnee State program is pretty new I think. Didn’t hear about it when our D was auditioning a couple years ago. Don’t know more about that.
I’ve posted about Kent State elsewhere. It’s a good program. PM me if you have specific questions. We visited a couple times and D auditioned there.
We never got much info on Youngstown State. D wasn’t interested and refused to consider it even though it’s a state school for us.
I know absolutely nothing about Youngstown State (although I do know a girl who is there for MT - and she seems happy in her social media posts). But- Youngstown itself is an area that has been through severe economic problems, and has a significant crime rate. I do not know how that impacts the university (if at all) but it would be a concern for me as a parent
