Miami U sent us emails when application was complete, to let us know when decisions would be posted, what the decision was, and what steps to take next.
I’m getting the impression OSU doesn’t really care about regular decision applicants?
At least we will be better prepared when kids #2 & #3 start this process!!
I don’t understand why I was told my daughter should check her status yesterday at 6:00. Is it a computer glitch? Talk about a let down before a potential let down. Miami University, Oxford, OH is looking really good!
I won’t even tell my daughter this time about the posting by 3 pm (she will check all day again then)!! I left a message with our local admissions/recruiter person but don’t expect to get answer today from them. @Artist709, My older daughter is a sophomore in Farmer’s Business School at Miami and loves the school and I’m sure your daughter would be happy there also. My younger daughter just didn’t want to be at same school as her older sibling.
BUCKEYELVR My daughter seems to have fallen out of love with OSU at this point. Our oldest daughter is a sophomore at OSU in Fisher College of Business. Sounds like we have a very similar situation. My senior does want her own identity, too, but I think she has also been preparing herself for an OSU denial. Best of luck to your daughter! Fingers crossed we truly will have an answer today. My senior is going to visit her big sis on Friday.
Nothing. For the record, when I called last week, I was told they were ‘posting on March 31st’. It is no longer March 31st, and OSU is also no longer my top pick. Miami accepted, contacted me over the phone, and sent a school-themed rubix cube in 4 weeks and OSU can’t even make a decision after 5 months.
Our local admissions person said “results will begin being posted at 3 pm today” and something about thanks for your patience! Still nothing. She almost makes it sound like result postings will be in groups and not all at once.
@barcodes If that is true, then I am done with OSU, even if I get accepted. What could possibly be taking so long? It’s not like they are receiving more applications than any other large state flagships which have all sent decisions to me weeks ago. They must be very disorganized over there in the admissions office. I hope some of the admissions officers read this forum and see our disappointment.
We have websites, facebook, Twitter, apps, smartphones - how hard would it be for OSU to put out updates? They have to know a lot of kids are anxious to find out their status.
And are people in Admissions just throwing darts at a board? Where are their answers coming from?
