Hi, my major is Aerospace Engineering and I was accepted at Purdue and OSU and deferred at UIUC. I am from Michigan but have a good chance of getting the National Buckeye Scholarship/Provost for OOS students since I have a 1420 SAT (=31 ACT) and am in the top 10% of my class. I also hear that the scholarship is given to pretty much everyone who meets the criteria. That would bring my tuition down to the same as in state. I understand that both UIUC and Purdue have a higher ranking than OSU, but is it worth paying $15,000 more per year at Purdue and $20-25,000 more at UIUC? How respectable is OSU engineering?

If you just go down the Aerospace Engineering ranking list, Purdue apparently beats everyone else, so just from that I’d say Purdue, you should go visit all the college campuses to make a final decision though.
I would agree that you should visit. In my opinion, UIUC is not worth it tho. 80-100k more is not worth it whereas 40 to 50k may be
