I am a transfer student accepted to Ohio State University, and have paid the matriculation fee. However, I made the stupid error of not completing my housing application within 2 weeks, and my contract expired. I contacted housing, and they said they would let me know within the next few weeks if they can extend my contract or not for on-campus housing, but that chances looked slim as many of the rooms were getting filled up. I am fine living off campus if necessary, but my question is: Are new transfers allowed to live in off-campus housing apartments and drive to school? I just need a place to live as I will be studying at OSU no matter what next year, and have confirmed to my current university that i will not be returning.
Never mind, just got it fixed, and just submitted the contract for on campus housing. Thank God! Proud to be a buckeye, see you all in the Fall!
When did you pay acceptance fee? I paid mine in January and they just now told me I can’t have a dorm because it was filled up when I’ve been waiting on my application for weeks. And I didn’t get notified until I had to ask when I was getting it
Paid it on April 1st I believe. I would directly call the Housing Office there, that’s how I got my issue resolved.
