Ohio State or Villanova computer engineering

Wondering which school would be better for my son, which is more respected with regards to computer engineering in which will yield a higher salary, more job offers? Price not necessarily an issue

Did you mean which would provide your student with the best education?

Or are you the wealthy parent of an international student trying to decipher the prestige value of US schools?

Middle class, definitely not wealthy…live in Ohio…and yes, Ohio State would be cheaper…meant best education, best job oportunities after graduating…best computer engineering?
Thanks

I work for Villanova Engineering and can tell you it’s a wonderful program. For the past 17 years, we’ve been ranked in the top 15 nationally for undergraduate engineering schools. Ultimately, however, I think it comes down to the kind of experience your son wants. OSU is a much larger school. Villanova’s Engineering program has about 1,200 students total. It’s a very personal experience where “community” isn’t just a word the marketing dept. throws around. It really is hugely important–from the kids who help one another out (versus a competitive environment), to the professors who know the students’ names and genuinely care about their success. It’s also the kind of place where undergrads have opportunities ranging from working on faculty research, to competing in entrepreneurial competitions, etc.

Mean starting salary for our Computer Engineering grads is $66,626 (class of 2015), which is the highest of all our engineering majors.

Hope this helps!
