Ohio State Scholars Program

Hey everyone! So, I was accepted to OSU in November and was positive I didn’t want to do the honors or scholars program. I also believed I didn’t qualify for the programs so I marked that I wasn’t interested on my application. After going back I realized that my new ACT score fell under the requirements and I have decided I would like to do the Scholars program. Is there anyway I can still apply for the program? Also what are some of the benefits other then the ones vaguely listed on the website? I talked to my graduation coach and she told me to email them and attach the essay just in case they allow me to do it. Anyone’s thoughts would be appreciated (:

Scholars - Great lecture series and a nice way to meet new friends. Focuses on activities outside of the classroom. If you don’t want much diversity in your dorm and would prefer if you were surrounded by people with the same interest rather than having a mix of all different interests, scholars is for you.
Drawbacks - Forced housing; you can’t choose to live in a non-scholars dorm. Plus, Scholars doesn’t show up on your final OSU transcript.
