I’m a freshman here at Ohio State. This is the best place on the planet. Definitely apply here, if not for the greatest wholesome American college experience, then for the university’s top ranked academic programs (#2 Business/Economics, #10 Accounting, #13 Engineering) and #1 ranked college president in the country (Dr. E. Gordon Gee, he’s awesome). The president came to my room on move-in day and talked with my family for about ten minutes. Unbelievable for a university of this size. I am also going to lunch with him this weekend with ten other students at a diner in the union. I’m not an honors student or anything special, so this attention is flattering and surprising. Which reminds me, Ohio State’s teacher:student ratio (without TA’s) is 12:1, Penn State and Michigan State are 17:1, and that school up north? 15:1. This place is incredible!

So far, the only thing sub-standard I have encountered about the university is that the student dining hall food is terrible, but no worry, since all around the campus there are many amazing places to eat that have great deals for students. There is only one dining hall near my dormitory, but there are a dozen restaurants and food shops just as close.
