I applied to Ohio State and currently my application is being evaluated. I originally had really great feelings about getting accepted, but since I've been looking I've been getting nervous. I'm a bit of a worrier.

I'm applying as a resident transfer with 36 credits and a 4.0 GPA. This is good and all but everyone keeps talking about the personal statement. When I visited an admissions counselor, she told me to keep it really impersonal and not worry about it. So I did. I mean, it had a bit of flare but it wasn't anything I really thought hard about. I would have written my little heart out if she would have told me otherwise. Apparently for transfers with gaps in their education (which I have) they just want to hear why. Did I screw myself over? Do you think I'll be okay? I may be overreacting but I can't help it. I just need to calm my nerves while I await the decision.

Thank you.

I am also applying to The ohio state university for the spring term of 2013. I have submitted all my stuff and am applying with 16 credits and a 2.85 as an out of state transfer. I am taking 8 week courses at the institutions I am at so My G.P.A will definitely increase over a 3.0 and plan to submit to them another official transcript before the deadline on Nov 1. with 22 credits completed by then. I want to know what my chance are for getting accepted for the spring term. The admission counselor said that they would evaluate my application now and if i get rejected and send them a new college transcript with a better G.P.A they will reconsider. But I want to get some outside input to cause I really want to go there for the spring term so I can apply for the fisher business school for next fall as an internal student.

@transferunit,
Have you heard back from them yet? I applied as a transfer student with a 2.2 for the spring 2013 term. My application is under evaluation and I’m getting kind of nervous
